What is Use This?

Use This Newsletter is an independent publication launched in 2025 to help brands and creators easily find trends and ideas that they can use for their social media. Why?

Because it was really f#$@! hard to find good ideas for social media.

I had just launched a small side hustle, and on top of the hundreds of other things I had to do, building a social media presence was at the top of the list. It was the best way to establish myself as a brand that could be trusted, and also to help showcase what we can do. But I didn't want just your typical pictures; my main job is a cinematographer, making commercials and content for big businesses.

A quick google search for: "social media trends this week," resulted in ten sites from 2024. "Best Social Media Reels for Businesses" resulted in websites from 2023. But nothing in the current month I was in.

When there are a thousand other things to do as a business owner and creator, concepting social media posts are at the bottom of the list.

But social media is also one of the most important things to do, as social media is the next era of digital advertising.

So we created this newsletter so brands, businesses, and creators could easily find up to date and relevant ideas for their social media and put their time where it matters: on their business and their creations. So Use This Newsletter.
